About the Service

Managed Backup Service is a network-based backup service that helps customers simplify the data backup process, minimize cost and maximize efficiency. Customers are only required to install an agent into the selected servers, and iAdvantage will take care of the rest: encrypt files, backup data and store them at off-site locations. To meet the ever-increasing needs of our customers, iAdvantage also offers backup-on-demand and restoration-on-demand services.

In order to secure the data from prying eyes, all tape media are stored at iAdvantage ISCs that only allow authorized personnel to access the tape. Restoration will only be carried out with customers' written instructions and secret passwords. To further enhance the security level, all the communications between customers' servers and iAdvantage's backup system can be compressed and encrypted, according to customers' preference.

Supported by iAdvantage 7x24 technical team, the backup system is fully monitored to ensure service availability. With the provision of monthly utilization reports and fault reports, customers can keep track of any operational or hardware failure, or even planning for future expansion. Moreover, detailed data verification will be carried out periodically to ensure data availability for restoration.
